A primeira noite do Emmy 2026 ocorreu neste sábado, 5, no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles, e deu início à 78ª edição do Primetime Emmy Awards com a entrega das categorias técnicas e de programas de reality, documentário e variedades. A cerimônia principal acontece em 14 de setembro e será apresentada por Mariska Hargitay.
Bad Bunny foi o grande destaque da noite: o show do intervalo do Super Bowl LX e estrelado pelo rapper porto-riquenho, levou sete estatuetas — incluindo Melhor Especial de Variedades ao Vivo, Melhor Coreografia, Melhor Direção, Melhor Direção Musical e Melhor Direção de Iluminação.
Entre os indicados a Melhor Especial de Variedades ao Vivo estava a 68ª edição do Grammy Awards, uma das cerimônias mais comentadas do calendário musical do ano. O Grammy não levou o prêmio, mas Sabrina Carpenter saiu com uma estatueta: ela venceu na categoria Melhor Especial de Variedades Gravado, como produtora executiva e performer de The Muppet Show, revival da série clássica lançado pelo Disney+, que levou quatro prêmios no total. Com o troféu, Sabrina chegou à metade do EGOT, agora faltam o Tony e o Oscar para completar o quarteto.
